Project Overview

I found myself googling stuff about places during travel quite a lot lately, so I figured I can solve this problem. Traditional audio tours are rigid, boring and frankly they might not be about something you’re interested in. You’re stuck following predetermined routes, listening to the same voices, missing the stories that matter to you.

Launch

I learned a ton while working on this project, not just about iOS development but also marketing, I actually learned that it’s the hardest thing out of all of them. I did launch it on product hunt and also on HN, but that gave no traffic. I was wondering if so called “initial App Store boost” will shed some light on the app, but it didn’t. So I decided to simply continue adding new cities based on demand from keyword searches. Let’s see where it goes with that strategy…

First 3 months

I saw no progress on traffic, so I decided to finally do pSEO, I figured that I can turn every point of interest and city into it’s own web page. After doing that I got quite some traffic and made a first sale! But then even with traffic going up daily I was not making any sales. I think at this point it does make sense to re-position or add more channels to distribute.
